GameworksThe Hamilton County Park District parks are open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk. Hours vary at individual facilities such as golf courses, visitor centers, boathouses and Nature's Niche Gift Shops. Covering more than 12,000 acres, a total of 12 individual parks are owned and maintained by the Hamilton County Park District and serve as home to 40 endangered or threatened animal species. The district offers a wide variety of recreational activities, including four lakes for fishing and boating, seven golf courses, two campgrounds, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and miles of trails.

There's such a vast number of things to do close to Hamilton County Park District; it is a perfect campground. Winton Woods is a fine forest region near Hamilton County Park District, and if you've had enough of Hamilton County Park District, Winton Lake is nearby. West Fork of Mill Creek Dam is worth stopping at while you're here, and a golf course nearby is Greenhills Village Golf Course.

Hemilton County ParkThe surroundings of this campground have such a vast number of things to offer. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Perfect North if you're here, and nearby you locate the Little Turtle Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. The welcoming personnel and all the fun things to do will make you feel splendid. You'll meet a lot of folks from Fairfield here; unsurprisingly, everybody loves Big Bone Lick State Park.

Through the days of summer highs here at Hamilton County Park District get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hamilton County Park District are in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There's whitewater on Banklick Creek for all you adrenaline people, and while you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Beech Creek Golf Course. Hamilton County Park District is a very well liked campground by people in Fairfield.

The Hamilton County Park District has a mission of preserving and protecting natural resources and providing outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations. Formed in 1930, the park district works in the geographical area around Cincinnati Ohio.

The Hamilton County Park District manages the following parks.

Armleder Park
This park includes active sports areas, as well as passive recreational opportunities, such as a paved trail, a 10-acre dog park, restored wetland, prairies and forest areas for and understanding of nature.

Embshoff Woods
This 330-acre park is a great place for exercising your body and mind. While most of the park is preserved in its natural condition, activities such as frisbee golf, and picnicking will be right in tune with the surroundings in this park. Kids will love the playground as well.

Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
This small park is easily accessible to all, with a loop trail around the property complete with Braille signage. Observe prairie, forest, and pond habitats, as well as a butterfly garden in this charming little park.

Fernbank Park
This park in Cincinnati, Ohio provides many amenities, such as new restrooms, picnic shelters, playgrounds and trails. Situated along the Ohio River, the park offers views of the river and natural areas as well.

Lake Isabella
This park is mainly an area for fishing in the well-stocked Lake Isabella. You can picnic here, as well as watch birds. The Little Miami River is also accessible by canoe from the park.

Miami Whitewater Forest
This park, over 4,000 acres in size, is a place to rest your soul on hiking trails in the natural areas, exercise your muscles while playing frisbee golf, relax with family for a picnic, or take your time and explore every aspect of the area for several days by staying at the on-site campground.

Sharon Woods
This large park is mostly forested, but includes several large meadow areas. The riparian corridors along the streams are accessible from several nature trails.

Shawnee Lookout
With forests, meadows and prairie habitats, along with vast areas of wetlands nearby,this Hamilton County Park is a great place to observe wildlife. Check out the nature on the park's three hiking trails.

Winton Woods
This 2500-acre park has high-quality natural areas, a campground, an educational farm, a golf course, and a multitude of other amenities for the outdoor enthusiast. Several trails provide access to the natural features of the park. The Hamilton County Park District provides horses for group trail rides at this park if you have at least three people in your group.

Woodland Mound
This 1,000-acre park contains woodlands, prairies, meadows, and a golf course. Three trails and a multitude of picnic areas provide places to observe the nature of this southwest Ohio park.

A visit to Ohio is not complete without some camping.
